These low gauge socks have a traditional feel and are knitted on an old vintage machine from Bentley in the UK. They are slowly knitted using lots of gallnut-dyed yarn, giving them a gentle feel like hand-knitted socks. Gallnut dyeing is a natural dye made from the "galls" that grow on plants in the Anacardiaceae family. They contain a lot of tannins, which gives them a deep grey colour that is different from jet black. They have antibacterial properties that meet JIS standards, so they wrap your feet comfortably.
